The management of Osun State University, is set for its 9th convocation of the university scheduled to hold virtually on September 21, 2020. According to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Labo Popoola, 35 of the 1,946 students would bag first-class degrees for the 2018/2019 academic session.
The VC, said the convocation lecture, titled, ‘The New Normal: Challenges and Opportunities for Tertiary Education,’ would be delivered by Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, a professor of Economics, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, New York, and a Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Sustainable Development Goals.
The university has subsequently engaged a courier company to deliver academic dresses and memorabilia to 95 per cent of the 1,946 graduating students that had shown interest in participating in the convocation
